INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & ANTI-PIRACY POLICY

PreFlightGear invests heavily in the engineering, design, and manufacturing processes of our aviation tools. We aggressively protect our intellectual property (IP) to maintain the integrity of our brand and products.

COPYRIGHT AND DESIGN PROTECTION

All content, product designs, mechanical slider interfaces, structural layouts, typographic arrangements, and product photography are the exclusive property of PreFlightGear and are protected under United States and international copyright laws. Trade dress protections apply to the distinct visual appearance and tactile functionality of our checklists.

RESTRICTIONS ON USE

When you purchase a PreFlightGear product, you are purchasing a physical good for personal, individual aviation use. You are not purchasing the rights to the design. The following actions are strictly prohibited and will be met with immediate legal action:

• Reverse Engineering: 3D scanning, measuring, or digitally reconstructing the slider mechanisms, detents, or overall chassis.
• Counterfeit Manufacturing: Casting, 3D printing, injection molding, or otherwise producing physical replicas of our products.
• Commercial Distribution: Selling unauthorized "clones," derivative works, or digital STL files on third-party platforms (including but not limited to Etsy, eBay, Amazon, and Makerworld).

ENFORCEMENT PROTOCOL

We actively monitor digital marketplaces, 3D printing repositories, and aviation forums. Suspected infringement is immediately forwarded to our retained legal counsel. PreFlightGear reserves the right to issue Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notices, seek injunctions, and pursue litigation to recover damages, lost profits, and attorney’s fees from counterfeiters.
